Wandering Primary P&C Association

Our P&C do an outstanding job which is appreciated by all members of the education community. As with most committees there is a great deal of effort that goes on behind the scenes and we gratefully acknowledge the work done by the present members and those in the past. The Wandering P&C is an enthusiastic and professional team of volunteers.

Early in 2015 the P&C has already been hard at work installing a cycle track in the K-2 area and a P&C shed. Additionally, this web site has been provided with funding through this group.

We urge all parents to be involved in this essential group, without the work of the P&C our school would not be as well-resourced as it is. Air-conditioning, electronic white boards and all play equipment are a testament to the hard work and dedication of this group.

School Council

Wandering has an active School Council which works with the school in establishing priorities, overviewing plans and providing assistance in the development of general direction. The council also reviews the budget and resourcing of the school. Whilst it does not play a part in the general management of the school, its staff or children it is a tremendous link between the school and its community.

Educational Partnerships

Parents are our partners in nurturing and bringing up our children. We work closely with parents to provide the best for our children. There is considerable communication between home and school in the form of fortnightly newsletters, memos, parent interviews, parent meetings and fortnightly assemblies.

During 2015 and for the first time Wandering participated in a small schools interschool swimming carnival. This was greatly enjoyed by our children, staff and parents. Our children also took part in the ‘Big Bash’ T20 cricket carnival in Williams with teams from other schools. Later in 2015 we hope to compete in a small schools athletics carnival.
