Wandering Primary School is located in the town of Wandering which is approximately 130 km from Perth or an hour from Armadale.

Wandering is a small community which is surrounded by farm land and some vineyards. Additionally, the town is not far from three large mining operations and has three adjoining shires.

Wandering school has a small number of children which ensures that each student is given a great deal of professional attention and care. The school is a ‘family’ which ensures that children demonstrate great values and develop respect for self, family, country and others.

The teaching staff is made up of experienced practitioners who are tremendously professional and have great enthusiasm for their work. Determined to maintain their professional learning there is interaction between teachers at Wandering and those from surrounding schools.

The non-teaching staff is exemplary in their role, knowing many of the children since their first day in kindergarten.

Staff Ethos

Staff Ethos

Wandering Primary School is a caring, friendly and positive school with staff who are committed to individual student learning. Our environment is safe with the feel of a family.

Wandering Primary Is A Safe Supportive Environment

Children learn best when quality teaching occurs and individual differences are catered for when the learning environment is safe, supportive and cooperative. Our school is multi-aged in all classrooms. This means rather than one class per year group, our children are advantaged by having multiple year levels in each group. Our children are given every opportunity for self-development through sport and other pursuits.
